SUMMARY: |
The “Provision of coordination sectoral services for sexual and gender-based violence victims/survivors by the health sector” was developed in 2022 as a resource for institutional capacity building for Central Asia as part of a global initiative – Spotlight Initiative – with the aim to address sexual and gender-based violence. The book was designed for five countries of Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan and served as a resource in numerous trainings addressed to health care professionals to improve their coordinated response in combating violence. The book includes evidence-based examples, best practices, and lessons learned, making it a valuable resource for healthcare providers seeking to understand and implement supportive, survivor-oriented treatment and referral systems. Additionally, it could serve as a resource for healthcare administrators who want to improve multi-sectorial coordination and set up health services as primary locations for victims’ support services. |
