The Influence of the Self-concept’s Dimensions over the Intensity of Anxiety and Depression Symptoms

Authors

Andreea-Bogdana ISBĂȘOIU

Synopsis

The present book approaches a rather niche field, in the direction of establishing the extent to which self-structures are responsible for the emergence of anxiety and depression elements; or if the latter are shapers of the self-concept, respectively the extent to which the therapeutic activities, that included modeling of the self-concept, lead to the reduction of emotional distress. Starting from her experience as a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, the author approaches the issue of self-concept in a clinical context and in a scientifically rigorous and practically relevant manner. The result is a quality work, a fact that indicates the scientist-practitioner value of the author.
