Stages of Publication - E-Book

E-BOOK [Electronic Format Books]

Cluj University Press publishes titles by both Romanian and international authors, not being limited exclusively to the teaching staff of Babeș-Bolyai University. For scientific content, the author must submit the manuscript along with two peer-review reports recommending the publication. These reports must be signed by academics or researchers holding at least the rank of Associate Professor or Senior Researcher II.

1. Price Quotation

The quote is calculated based on the total number of pages of the document, formatted as follows:

• Page size: A4 (210x297mm)
• Font: Times New Roman 11
• Line spacing: 1.2

2. The Contract [download template]

Based on the price offer accepted by the author, the contract is signed and the financial obligations are settled.
Payment can be made by bank card at the publishing house's POS terminal, in cash at the Babeș-Bolyai University Cashier's Office (14 I. C. Brătianu St., between 10 AM – 2 PM), or via bank transfer (Account RO58TREZ21620F335000XXXX, opened at the Cluj-Napoca Treasury, Tax ID 4305849). Please mention on the payment order: "Cluj University Press contract no.../..........., AUTHOR NAME – Book Title". A scanned copy of the payment document must be sent to: editura@ubbcluj.ro.

3. Final Approval (Ready for Publication)

The manuscript must be submitted exclusively in electronic format.
Layout and formatting services are performed exclusively by the publishing house.
The processed file will be checked by the author to identify any inconsistencies with the initial text.
The graphic composition of the cover will be decided together with the publishing house's designer.
Content accuracy and cover acceptance will be certified by signing a "Ready for Publication" declaration.

4. Delivery of the Final File and Website Posting

The publishing house will keep in touch with the author regarding any issues that may arise during the editing process and will provide notification as soon as the title is ready for delivery.
The final material will be delivered to the author on electronic media.
The website will display the metadata of the published title along with a 10-page summary/excerpt in electronic format (unless the author chooses full Open Access).

5. Posting the E-book on www.editura.ubbcluj.ro (Optional)

Posting the full work on the publishing house's website is free of charge, following the signing of an agreement through which the author consents to full Open Access to their material.
